Africa-Press – Angola. The UNITA Parliamentary Group defends actions by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) and other Defense and Security bodies to capture the aggressors of citizen Ludmila Pinto, wife of journalist and activist Cláudio Emanuel Pinto, victim of three attacks with bladed weapons in Kilamba centrality (KK 5000 and Kero Supermarket).

The statements were made yesterday, in Luanda, by the president of the UNITA Parliamentary Group, Liberty Chiyaka, following the stabbing, on Monday, November 21, of Ludmila Pinto, wife of journalist and activist Cláudio Emanuel Pinto.

“The UNITA Parliamentary Group demands from the Defense and Security bodies a republican posture aligned with the defense of the interests of people, families, companies and investors”, he clarified last Tuesday.

Regarding the incidents that occurred with the journalist’s wife, Liberty Chiyaka revealed that she was the victim of three physical attacks on different occasions. In the first attempt, she said, two armed and masked men invaded the residence of the couple Cláudio and Ludmila around 6 pm on September 20, at a time when the husband was out of the house.

The aggressors, according to Liberty Chiyaka, tortured, beat and cut off the journalist’s wife’s arms. Continuous act, threatened to kill the only 1 year old son.

The second attack, according to Liberty Chiyaka, happened when the journalist’s wife, on the recommendation of a psychologist, was attending yoga classes in a gym close to her house, at Kilamba KK 5000, when a man quickly approached and wounded her in the leg with a sharp object.

As a result, Ludmila Pinto took 5 points. The security guard accompanying her was unable to prevent the attack. As for the third attack, according to the deputy, it happened at 10:40 am, when the journalist’s wife was leaving the house accompanied by Elias, bound for Supermercado Kero, in Kilamba.

Upon leaving Kero do Kilamba, at around 10:40 am, according to the deputy, Ludmila Pinto, when getting into a private taxi to return home, she realized that her clothes were bloody and she had a deep cut on her left thigh. Ludmila, in the circumstances in which she found herself, called her husband and they immediately went to the Estoril clinic, in Patriota, where she had 15 stitches on her left thigh.

In view of the facts, the President of the UNITA Parliamentary Group advises the Criminal Investigation Police, the information services and the Attorney General’s Office to make efforts to capture the perpetrators of the crime, since the defense of life is a priority of the Angolan state.
