Africa-Press – Angola. The ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Angola, Saadia El Alaoui, praised, Wednesday, the growing number of women working in various sectors of the company Edições Novembro, holder of several national titles.

During a visit to the company’s headquarters building, which has been rehabilitated and expanded, the ambassador noted the works carried out by the current administration and defended the creation of an exchange protocol between professionals from Jornal de Angola and the Moroccan press.

With the promise of making another visit, to maintain greater contact with journalists from the central editorial office of Jornal de Angola, the ambassador praised the current Board of Directors for the rehabilitation works of the headquarters building of the only general newspaper in the country.

During the visit, the chairman of the Board of Directors of Edições Novembro, Drumond Jaime, informed that the company currently has 11 titles and delegations in all provinces of Angola.

As for the exchange of experience between journalists from Jornal de Angola and the Moroccan press, the Chairman of Edições Novembro promised to create conditions for a group of journalists to visit Morocco.

Drumond Jaime informed the ambassador that among the projects in the pipeline are the holding, tomorrow, at 8:00 am, at Epic Sana, in Luanda, the 1st International Conference on “The History of Angola”, with the theme “The Nation and the Nationalism of the Centuries XIX and XX”, with lecturers such as historian Rosa Cruz e Silva, anthropologist Carlos Serrano and professors Alberto de Oliveira Pinto and Dinis Kebanguilako.

Another novelty, he said, is the improvement of the company’s printing facilities, which, in addition to producing the November Editions newspapers, will also print literary works, books and notebooks.

At the end of the visit, the CEO of the company offered Saadia El Alaoui a wooden sculpture, which reflects the strength of peasant women, while the ambassador handed over a trophy, whose symbol is a reference to Moroccan culture.
