Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, said this Monday that it would be practically impossible for the country to return to a situation of impunity, underlining that the challenges “are great and the fight against corruption continues”.
“I believe that even when one day the President of the Republic is another entity, it will be very difficult to return to the past. Once started, I believe that everyone will continue, perhaps in another style, or in another form, but it will be practically impossible to return to the previous situation of impunity”, emphasized João Lourenço.
In an interview given to Angolan journalist Hariana Verás and broadcast this evening by TPA, the Head of State, João Lourenço, stressed: “the challenges in the last five years have been great, we ended up touching very powerful people who have, above all, financial power”.
