Africa-Press – Angola. About three thousand young people from the municipalities of Moxico, Alto Zambeze, Luau and Cameia have successfully completed technical and professional training in different areas, said, in the city of Luena, the head of Provincial Services of the National Institute of Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP).

Cahilo Mupila, who was speaking at the closing ceremony of yet another training cycle this year, said that young people were trained in Electricity, Cooking, Plumbing, Carpentry, Tiling, Tailoring, Agriculture, Manicure, among others.

The official considered that the training will provide professional support to young people, for the implementation of entrepreneurship in small businesses through courses and professional internships in various areas and guarantee new jobs.

Cahilo Mupila said that, in compliance with the Action and Promotion of Employability Plan (PAPE), 1,184 young people carrying out technical-professional activities benefited from work kits in the year 2022.

The head of the Department of Training, Employment and Business Promotion of the Provincial Office for Economic Development, Mize Dias, said that the sixth phase of PAPE is helping to promote self-employment and diversification of the economy, a process overseen by the Ministry of Public Administration , Work and Social Security (MAPTSS), within the scope of promoting self-employment, professional internships and insertion of young people in the labor market.

Strategically, he explained that PAPE is in line with the initiatives of the Ministry of Economy and Planning, particularly the Program to Support Production, Diversification of Exports and Substitution of Imports (PRODESI), with a view to absorbing manpower, under the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI), inserted in the National Strategy for Reducing Informality Levels.
