Africa-Press – Angola. Writer Luís Samacumbi launched last Saturday, in the municipality of Lobito, Benguela province, the works entitled “Galangue” and “Liberating Prophetic and Transforming Theology”.

Published by Livros Olohengo, with a circulation of one thousand copies each, the works have 110 and 95 pages, respectively.

Luís Samacumbi referred that the work Galangue reveals the contribution of the word of God in the liberation of peoples and in the development of communities in rural areas through the intermediary of African slaves.

“Galangue also portrays the contribution of slaves who, after being sold to the Americas, were being transported by a ship that was diverted to another destination, with the case reaching an American court”, he said.

He says that an American Government official offered to be a lawyer for the concealed slaves who were acquitted in court and decided to return to Africa with the gospel and founded the Evangelical Mission of Bunjei, in the municipality of Chipindo, province of Huila, the only one founded by slaves.

As for the book Teologia Liberadora Profética e Transformadora, he said that it addresses issues of leadership in a very modern and very digital society, with potential conflicts, and is aimed at students and civil servants because it is inspiring.

The launch event took place at the Evangelical Congregational Church in Angola (IECA), in the Ebenezer do 28 pastorate. Religious leaders, university professors, politicians and members of civil society who came from different parts of Angola to honor the event were present.

Luís Samacumbi better known as “Aíres” is Angolan, he was born in the village of Nazaré, on the border between the provinces of Cuanza Sul and Huambo, in 1971.

He holds a degree in Leadership and Organizational Development from the University of Oxford, UK. Master in Theology in the specialty of Divinity, from the University of Chicago, in the United States of America.

Graduated in Peace Studies and Conflict Transformation from the University of Kwazulu Natal-Durban, South Africa. He holds a Certification in Population and Development subjects from the University of Costa Rica in Central America.

He is the author of the books “Pillars of Success”, “Building Bridges, Life and Work of Reverend José Belo Chipenda”, “Faith beyond the Impossible”, “The Lighthouse of Hope, the Pastoral Ministry of Reverend Hilda Valério”, “A Life of Faith in Difficult Times – Life and Work of Reverend Júlio Francisco Muhenho” and “CICA – 40 Years of Strong and Active Ecumenism.
