Africa-Press – Angola. The Gabonese international footballer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was formalized this Wednesday (2) as a reinforcement for FC Barcelona, with the Catalans announcing a contract until 2025.
“The player will sign a contract until June 30, 2025, with an option to leave on June 30, 2023, and will have a release clause of €100 million.”
In the note, ‘Barça’ does not explain the inclusion of a possibility of leaving in 2023, only mentioning that the details of the presentation of the player, whose contract with Arsenal ended by mutual agreement, will be given soon.
On Tuesday, Arsenal made official Aubameyang’s departure, after the player spent four and a half seasons with the Gunners, and at a time when he was removed from the choices of coach Mikel Arteta, due to disciplinary reasons.
The 32-year-old Gabon international arrived at the English capital club, in which the Portuguese Cédric Soares and Nuno Tavares work, in January 2018, coming from the Germans of BoruSsia Dortmund, having reached the captaincy of the team. With Arsenal, ‘Auba’ scored a total of 92 goals in 162 official matches.
