Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial commander of the National Police in Lunda Norte, Gérson Miguel, Friday, appealed to the agents of the different bodies of the Ministry of the Interior to prioritize pedagogy in their actions, avoiding excesses or the use of force during the festive season .
Speaking at the general parade, the provincial delegate for the Interior also underlined that the defense and security forces must not create a climate of intimidation or threat in the communities.
“I would like to draw attention to all agents to be guided by civic conduct, good education, greater responsibility, preventing situations arising during the fulfillment of our mission that could tarnish our image and generate a climate of insecurity in the communities”, he stressed.
He called for the reinforcement of operational measures to combat illegal immigration, illicit diamond trafficking, fuel smuggling and the maintenance of public order and tranquillity.
During the festive season, more than five thousand public order police, firefighters, Rapid Intervention Police, Border Guard, Prison Services, Emigration and Foreigners, Criminal Investigation, among others, will be on standby in the ten municipalities of Lunda Norte.
