Africa-Press – Angola. Forty households from the 5 de Abril, Boa Esperança, Valódia and Saco-Mar neighborhoods, in the municipality of Moçâmedes, Namibe province, received Friday, various food items, as part of the “Solidarity Christmas” promoted by the government place.
The goods, made up of products from the basic food basket, delivered by the local governor, Archer Mangueira, aim to improve the diet of these families.
On the occasion, the director of the Provincial Office for Social Action, Family and Gender Equality, Lemba Lopes, said that actions of this kind will be continuous.
On the other hand, he informed that in order to minimize the economic situation of some vulnerable families, the local government has been distributing professional kits, aiming at opening small businesses in the communities.
During the “Solidarity Christmas” the children of the referred neighborhoods received gifts and participated in a fraternization lunch.
