Africa-Press – Angola. The Board of Directors of the Government of the Province of Zaire, meeting Wednesday in Mbanza Kongo, in its extraordinary session, recommended the elaboration of master plans for the development of the six municipalities that make up the region.
According to the deputy governor of Zaire for the political, social and economic sector, Afonso Nzolameso, the participants also recommended greater rigor in financial execution by public managers.
As for public safety, the intervenients expressed concern about the increase in road accidents in the province involving motorcycle taxi drivers, which is why they agreed to hold seminars on the Highway Code aimed at the class.
The meeting, according to the official, also made a diagnosis of the health services provided to the region’s population, above all, the funds allocated to local hospitals, as well as the quality of available technicians.
By the way, it was concluded that there is still a considerable deficit of health technicians throughout the province, with emphasis on specialist doctors.
Faced with this challenge, the Government of Zaire will work to ensure that more health specialists are recruited in the next public tenders.
This is the first meeting of the Board of Directors that the Governor of Zaire, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho has chaired since his presentation to the local population in September this year.
With a territorial extension of 40 thousand and 130 square kilometers, the province of Zaire is administratively subdivided into six municipalities, 25 communes and 711 villages.
