Africa-Press – Angola. 1° de Agosto won (Friday), in Luanda, Akira Academy, by 115-100, in a match for the 17th round of the National Senior Men’s Basketball Championship, played at the Vitorino Cunha pavilion.

At halftime, the “military” formation already held a 73-46 lead over Academy. The player Nilton Valente, from 1° de Agosto, with 21 points, was the best scorer of the match.

Even, for the same round, Petro de Luanda triumphed against the Jesus Christ team, by 118-69. ASA also overcame Vila Clotilde, by 112-107, and 1° de Agosto B defeated Inter B, by 89-72.

The Friends of Basketball Club of Benguela beat Casa do Pessoa of Porto do Lobito, by 86-80. The next day of the second round, in pairs (18th and 19th), takes place on the 6th and 7th of January:
