Helena Chimena, who was speaking at a meeting with the artistic class of the province, as part of the day of the 8th of January, National Culture Day, said that each one, in their area, has represented the province with dignity in the most varied levels.
He stated that despite the enormous difficulties artists face, it has been possible to offer moments of joy and leisure to art lovers.
He stressed that the government will do everything to respond and minimize the concerns that still afflict the class, with the main focus on the issue related to the construction of a concert hall.
He said that in addition to the government’s actions, it is important for artists, businessmen and society in general to combine efforts for the continuous improvement of the cultural sector, so that its rational use contributes to the well-being of the population.
The acting director of the provincial office for Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports, António Luís Miguel, said it was time to stop being just a consumer of foreign culture and focus on local culture, ensuring the insertion of all cultural traits in the media. of social communication.
The sector controls, in the nine municipalities of the province of Cuando Cubango, 256 makers of culture, including musicians, theater groups, traditional dance groups and artisans.
