Africa-Press – Angola. The Chinese Foreign Minister, Qin Gang, said Saturday in Luanda that cooperation between the two countries has promoted socio-economic development for both, through business opportunities and the existing degree of political and commercial trust.

The Head of Chinese diplomacy, who is in Angola and is taking part in the commemorations of the fortieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, Angola/China, marked on the 12th of January of the current year, thanked his compatriots for the opportunity to invest and which has benefited the development of Angola.

The joint effort in the growing momentum of economic and trade cooperation and personal exchanges were also praised by the head of Chinese diplomacy.

Based on the referenced partnership dynamics, he demonstrated his country’s interest in remaining as Angola’s largest trading partner, a position held for consecutive years.

Cooperation programs tend to expand, according to Qin Gan, in the areas of agriculture, manufacturing, digital economy and health, thus supporting the acceleration of the Angolan government’s program to diversify the economy and increase the capacity for sustainable development.

As part of the cooperation existing for 40 years, the republics of Angola and China signed, Wednesday, a financing agreement of US$249 million, to support the broadband project in the country.

More than 100,000 dwellings, 2,000 kilometers of roads, 2,800 kilometers of railways, 100 schools, 50 hospitals and other infrastructure were also built by Chinese companies operating in the field of public works and urban planning. .

In this celebrated partnership, there are also works that include the Centrality of Kilamba, the Benguela Railway, the Soyo Thermal Power Station, among others.

Angola and China established diplomatic relations on January 12, 1983, opening a new chapter in the history of traditional friendship between the countries.
