Africa-Press – Angola. Four of the MPLA’s first provincial secretaries presented the party’s political agenda to militants, sympathizers and friends. These are Daniel Félix Neto (Lunda-Sul), Marcos Alexandre Nhun-ga (Cabinda), Adriano Mendes de Carvalho (Cuanza-Norte) and Norberto dos Santos “Kwata Kanawa” (Malanje).
The MPLA’s first provincial secretary of Lunda-Sul defended, Saturday, in Saurimo, the efficiency and objectivity in the work of mobilizing new militants, so that the party continues to walk the path of victory in this year’s general elections.
Daniel Félix Neto made the appeal at the opening of the provincial political agenda, on the outskirts of the city of Saurimo, with the participation of at least 1,000 spectators, among militants, sympathizers and friends of the ruling party in Angola.
“With greater or lesser difficulty, the MPLA will maintain the tradition of successive victories, begun in 1992, through elections, to continue to govern always in defense of the integrity and dignity of the people, fight corruption, nepotism, flattery and so many other ills of Angolan society”, he said.
The politician considered that the MPLA is a “metamorphosis that adapts to any transformation, but always prioritizing the common good”. As an example, he mentioned that the challenges imposed by Covid-19, among other adverse situations, refer to difficult realities, however transposable, judging by the level of capacity and political maturity of the party from the point of view of humanism in defense of the “supreme good – which is life”.
The moment, according to the also provincial governor of Lunda-Sul, is to roll up our sleeves and improve mobilization techniques to achieve positive results. Daniel Neto considered it important for members to do individual work to mobilize the population to register for voters, at the One-Stop Public Service Desks (BUAP), so that the majority of citizens have the possibility to exercise their duty of citizenship, without constraint.
As for the successive contempt in almost the entire country, with rowdy attitudes, vandalism and other cyber attacks against individuals and public institutions, the first secretary of the MPLA in Lun-da-Sul appealed to common sense, especially among young people, who represent the more vulnerable fringe in inciting bad practices, promoted by people, who at any cost, crave power.
Strategic actions in the political debate
Ten days after the official launch of the MPLA’s political agenda by its president, João Lourenço, in Menongue, Cuando Cubango province, Marcos Alexandre Nhunga considered Saturday, in Cabinda, “the document is very important, as it contains a set of strategic actions to be used in the current and future political debate, with the focus turned to the interest of the citizen, aiming to solve the main problems that the country faces.”
During the presentation to the local society (leaders, cadres, militants, sympathizers and friends of the MPLA), at the Barão Puna sports hall, in Cabinda, highlighted that the themes chosen for the conformation of the party’s political agenda for 2022 also have the sole purpose of overcoming the biggest challenge – the general elections.
“The themes chosen are those that stand out among others that this year will deserve due and opportune attention, treatment by the different structures of the party and the State, with the necessary and indispensable support of all militants”, he reiterated. The politician said that the party in Cabinda will work selflessly and intensely so that all militants, sympathizers and friends can be properly qualified to vote and bring the largest possible number of voters to the MPLA.
Marcos Nhunga defended the need to promote more effective and more visible actions that ensure timely and correct knowledge of the actions of the party and the Executive so that citizens can “evaluate policies and programs, which exalt and instill solid notions of patriotism” in people, especially the new generations.
He stressed that the MPLA considers as main vectors of its action to mobilize, organize and engage militants, sympathizers and friends, around the tasks that can ensure a convincing victory in the general elections . last elections in Cuanza-Norte
In the city of Dondo (Cambambe), Adriano Mendes de Carvalho called on Saturday the militants, sympathizers and friends of the MPLA to reaffirm the need for the party to repeat the electoral victory in the next election (5-0), as happened in the 1992, 2008 processes. , 2012 and 2017.
Speaking to followers of his political force, the first provincial secretary of Cuanza-Norte said that in order to confirm victory in the elections it is important to continue to work in an organized way and urged everyone to be involved in the Official Electoral Registration process to go to the BUAP.
He recalled that the MPLA recognizes the historic role of the city of Dondo and its inhabitants who, in the most difficult moments, welcomed people from all parts of Cuanza-Norte, becoming, at the time, the “General Staff of the province in all aspects.”
He reaffirmed his firm will to continue with the development of projects, working with determination to change the unfavorable situation to the economy, to private investment, to attracting foreign direct investment and to creating jobs, to improve the basic social conditions of the population.
The also provincial governor of Cuanza-Norte said that the Executive will continue to invest in important public works such as hospitals, teaching establishments, production, transport and distribution of electricity, production, supply and distribution of drinking water, roads and bridges within the scope of the Integrated Program for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) and others under development.
“For this reason, the Executive has been promoting entrepreneurship, self-employment, micro and small companies, providing training and work tools, above all, to young people, within the scope of the Entrepreneurship Support and Promotion Program, the Informal Economy and others who compete”, he said.
