Angola has set up two stands at the Cape Town International Conference Centre, which is hosting the 30th edition of this event, which annually brings together various mining-related players from around the world.

The stands were very popular with various entities interested in the Angolan mining potential and beyond, with a view to establishing partnerships or exchanging experiences in various fields.

In the end, the executive director of Minbo Resource, Lindsay Reed, highlighted the interest of several businessmen who wish to establish partnerships in the mining and agriculture areas.

Lindsay Reed said he was investing heavily in the transformation of phosphates into fertilizers, with plans to build a factory for next March, in Cabinda province.

Also in this vein, the administrator of Geosondas, Judsi Calado, a company that operates in the field of services, based in Lunda Sul, said that he managed to show visitors the quality of the work they provide in Angola, as well as received guarantees from establishments of future agreements.

“It has already started to be positive”, Judsi Calado told the press about the balance of the first day, adding that visitors are being presented with all the quality of services they provide in the diamond projects of Catoca and Luachi in Lunda Sul.

For the spokesman for HMGranitos-Hipermáquinas, Elias Cipriano, the company brought to Cape Town the best ornamental stone products, with emphasis on granite, limestone and marble, which has already interested the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which has to the Dubai market for the acquisition of such stones.

“We came to show Africa and the world the potential of ornamental stones and attract more customers from the continent, Europe and Asia”, he said, stating that there is enough capacity to supply the referred markets, since the production capacity has been increased to thirty percent. cent.

The managing director of Ozango Minerals, Edoson Nunes, said that he had presented at the event a project that is strategic for Angola and the world, which is renewable energies, “linked to the production of wind energy and electric cars within the framework of the transition energetic”.

Twelve companies represent Angola at Mining Indaba, with emphasis on ENDIAMA, SODIAM, AJ SILVA, Sociedades Mineiras de Catoca, Chitotolo, Yetwene, Furi and Kaixepa, Geosondas, Minbos Resources, Ozango Minerals Hipermáquinas and Shinning Star.

The International Conference on Mining in Africa, known as Mining Indaba, which is now in its 30th edition, is the largest African investment event in the mining sector and this year takes place under the motto “Unblocking the future of Mining in Africa”, bringing together more than six thousand lecturers.
