Africa-Press – Angola. The ministers of Foreign Affairs of Angola, Téte António, and of the Kingdom of Spain, José Manuel Álvares Bueno, analyzed, this Tuesday, in Luanda, the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the heads of Angolan and Spanish diplomacy also analyzed issues relating to the strengthening and implementation of existing legal instruments, as well as those signed this Tuesday at the Presidential Palace.

The meeting between the two ministers took place on the sidelines of King Felipe VI’s State visit to Angola, which began on Monday, with the aim of boosting cooperation between the two countries, especially in the political, diplomatic, economic and financial fields.

Cooperation between Angola and Spain has intensified in the business sector, with the presence of Spanish companies in Angola, making it necessary to outline a new framework of strategic priorities to increase this bilateral relationship, with a view to reaching mutually advantageous levels.

This is the first official meeting between the head of Angolan diplomacy, Téte António, and his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Álvares Bueno.

Bilateral relations between Angola and the Kingdom of Spain are based on the General Cooperation Agreement, signed on May 20, 1987, and the Complementary Agreement to the General Agreement signed in November 1987.

Cooperation between the two countries has intensified in the business sector, with the presence of Spanish companies in Angola.
