Africa-Press – Angola. The Provincial Government of Huambo considers the information circulated in recent days to be false, according to which Governor Lotti Nolika has prohibited public managers from making statements to the press without prior authorization.

According to a note from the Social Communication office of the Government of Huambo sent this Wednesday, at no time did Governor Lotti Nolika prohibit public managers from speaking to the press, as they circulate on various digital platforms, with emphasis on WhatsApp and Facebook groups.

“This information does not correspond to the truth of the facts (…). Therefore, the local government reassures those responsible for the media that members of the government structure of Huambo will be available to provide information of public interest in the respective areas, whenever possible and when requested”, reads the document.

With a territorial extension of 35,771 square kilometers and a population density of over two million, 700,000 inhabitants, the province of Huambo is administratively composed of 11 municipalities, 37 communes and 3,387 villages.
