Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Commerce, Amadeu Nunes, as well as the Angolan ambassador to Botswana, Beatriz Morais, held a meeting in Gaborone with the executive secretary of SADC, Elias Magosi, during which issues related to the integration process were addressed of the country in the Southern African Development Community Free Trade Area.
At the end of Friday’s meeting, Elias Magosi, quoted in a statement today by the Embassy, said that the reason for SADC’s existence is linked to economic integration, with emphasis on the promotion of trade between Member States.
“It is fundamental that Angola also becomes a key part of this family of nations in the commercial space”, he pointed out, while Amadeu Nunes highlighted the need to accelerate the negotiation process of Angola’s offer, so that by the end of 2023 the country is effectively integrated into the SADC Free Trade Area.
