Africa-Press – Angola. Three hundred and twenty-two companies were certified, from 2012 to this date, in the province of Bengo, by the National Institute of Support to Micro, Small and Medium-sized Companies (INAPEM).
There are 247 micro companies, 34 small and 41 medium.
Most of these companies are linked to the agriculture sector – agricultural and livestock cooperatives, the head of the institution’s department, Sabino Rodrigues.
The province has more than 149 projects in its portfolio at the Ministry of Economy and Planning, of which 99 have already been forwarded to the Development Bank of Angola (BDA).
Of this number (99), 78 were approved and 58 financed, with a global value of 2.5 billion kwanzas.
This financing is part of the economic relief measures, of the restructured Credit Support project (PAC), within the scope of the Support Program for Production, Export Diversification and Import Replacement (PRODESI).
In the area of training and training, 285 business promoters were trained under the “more citizenship” program, and 2,000 in the Informal Economy reconversion program (PREI).
Despite having fewer certified companies in the country, Bengo is the fourth province with the most funding in the field of the restructured PAC, he said.
With regard to “Made in Angola”, products such as eggs, feed, fertilizers and electrical equipment produced at Angolaves, Fazenda Filomena (Panguila), and Serra e Coelho in Mabubas already have the respective seals.
In 2023, inapem intends to improve its services in order to be able to certify 150 companies and hold, in May, the first provincial forum for business development in Bengo.
It also intends to increase the number of certified companies and make business promoters benefit from the opportunities or initiatives of the Executive regarding the financing of some programs of the Ministry of Economy and Planning.
The National Institute for the Support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPM) in Bengo controls 322 companies, including micro, small and medium-sized ones, which develop productive activities in various sectors.
