Africa-Press – Angola. The teams from Maxinde de Malanje and GD Renascimento do Uíge will compete today, Monday, for the third round and last day of the Zonal Norte de Handball competition for men, taking place in Caxito, Bengo province.
The matchday will feature pairings between Mandjelsport vs FC do Golungo Alto, in male and female, while Maxinde de Malanje will face GD Renascimento do Uige, in male.
At the opening of the competition, GD Renascimento in the men’s youth group beat Mandjelsport do Bengo by 37-23, Maxinde de Malanje’s formation cylindered FC do Golungo Alto by 29-20 also in men’s.
As for women, the team from Maxinde de Malanje defeated Mandjelsport do Bengo by 28-23.
The race is being disputed in the all-against-all-round system and takes place in the multipurpose pavilion of the Instituto Superior Politécnico (ISP), in Caboxa, Dande.
In this competition, the 1st and 2nd place in the male category and the 1st place in the female category will qualify for the national handball category.
The representatives of the province of Zaire (male and female) and Santa Rita de Cássia do Uíge in female are absent from the competition, which ends today.
Maxinde de Malanje, in female, and GD Renascimento do Uíge, in male, are the holders of the Zonal Norte title.
