Africa-Press – Angola. Around 300 external scholarships are available to candidates for Bachelor’s and Master’s courses at the best universities in the world, as part of a presidential initiative.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, through an announcement published, indicates that the registrations, which started on the 30th of January, will end on the 31st of March of this year.
The scholarships are part of the Annual Submission Program for 300 national graduates and masters, provided that candidates have high performance and academic merit and applications must be submitted exclusively on the official INAGBE website: http://www.inagbe. gov.ao.
The Ministry emphasizes that Angolan citizens residing abroad and attending the 1st year of the Master’s, in the medical specialty or in the middle of the year of the Doctorate, in one of the 600 best universities in the world can participate in the program, provided that they meet the required requirements.
The selection criteria are based on the principle of academic merit, translated into high student performance, recognized cognitive and social competence, regardless of the candidate’s socioeconomic level.
It is also stated that documents that prove only the candidate’s acceptance will not be received, as non-residents must present documentation that confirms their enrollment and registration. “Likewise, the exchange of courses and institution will not be allowed after the clearance”, emphasizes the ministry.
Among the requirements, candidates must have Angolan nationality, be up to 30 years old, for the Master’s in the medical specialty, and up to 35 years old, for the Doctorate, Degree completed for the Master’s/Medical specialty and completion of the Master’s, to apply to the Doctorate.
In the statement, it is noted that the eligible countries are all those that have Higher Education Institutions considered in the top 600, according to the rankings for the year 2022.
The selection process takes place in Angola and is ensured by a national jury, consisting of seven elements, in sequential stages, namely the selection process, application, document analysis, knowledge tests, interview focused on skills, final interview and medical examinations .
