Africa-Press – Angola. The Council of Ministers (CM) approved, this Wednesday, the Presidential Decree that creates the National Integrated Search and Rescue System, as well as the respective legal regime.
The document, according to the final communiqué of the meeting chaired by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, contains legislative and regulatory measures applicable to the Aircraft Search, Assistance and Rescue Service.
The measure is also applicable to the service of vessels, ships or maritime devices and persons in danger at sea, on land and in inland navigable waters, under national jurisdiction.
This diploma, says the statement, results from the responsibilities arising from Angola’s adherence to International Conventions, namely that of Chicago, called the Convention on Civil Aviation, the International Convention for the Saving of Life at Sea and on Search and Rescue.
The measure aims to establish an international search and rescue plan, to respond to the needs of maritime traffic, with regard to the rescue of people in danger at sea.
INAR Statute
In the session, the CM approved the Organic Statute of the National Institute for Religious Affairs (INAR), with the aim of conforming the diploma to the new legal regime on public institutes, within the scope of indirect State administration.
The objective is to conform the diploma to the new legal regime on public institutes, adapt its structure and functioning to the current moment resulting from the social dynamics produced in the religious domain in Angola and reinforce competences in the field of monitoring the practices adopted by religious denominations.
INAR is a Public Institute whose object is to design and implement the State’s policy and strategy in relation to freedom of conscience, religious belief, as well as the scientific study of religious matters in Angola.
Labor Code Law
In this 2nd ordinary session, the Council of Ministers considered, for submission to the National Assembly, the Proposal for a Law approving the Labor Procedure Code.
The diploma aims to systematize, harmonize and bring together all the labor procedural norms in force in a single diploma, in order to adapt them to the current constitutional reality and to the new context of legal-labor relations and labor disputes.
It also aims to facilitate its handling, promote its effectiveness and ensure legal certainty and security.
