The Secretary of State for Planning, Milton Reis, declared, Friday, in the municipality of Viana, that the Credit Guarantee Fund (FGC), in addition to facilitating credit to micro and medium-sized companies, should also , ensure that the funding granted is applied to the approved projects.

Milton Reis made these statements to the press during a visit to verify the state of operation of the company Hybris Soluções, accompanied by the Secretary of State for Finance, Otoniel dos Santos.

The visit is part of the broad Program of the Ministries of Economy, Planning and Finance, which aims to verify the state of operation of the companies that benefited from public guarantee lines, under the programs of support and promotion of national production and diversification of savings issued by the FGC.

He made it known that this initiative consists of increasing the visibility of guaranteed projects and showing Angolan society the alignment of the Credit Guarantee Fund’s action plan with the actions that the Executive seeks to promote, the increase in domestic production and the diversification of the economy.

On the other hand, he expressed the willingness of the Ministry of Economy and Planning to provide the FGC with the necessary support to carry out its mission in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and other public and private institutions involved in promoting an increase in domestic production and diversification of exports. and import substitution.

In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fundo de Garantia (FGC), Luzayadio Nsimba, made it known that in its 10 years of existence it has already supported 761 companies with nationwide coverage, 97 of which in 2022.

As for the evaluation of the financial support given to these industries, he considered it positive due to the feedback they have received from the beneficiaries, as well as calling on other companies to apply for the credit that the Executive has made available.

Hybris Soluções is a private institution that benefited from the Angola Invest Program and PRODESI, two lines of financing granted by Banco Internacional de Crédito (BIC) in an amount of 2.7 billion kwanzas for the construction and restructuring of the paper production plant toilet, kitchen and napkin items.

The FGC is a non-banking financial institution, created on May 4, 2012 by Presidential Decree No. 78/12 of 2012, given the need for an entity to facilitate access to bank credit for micro, small and medium-sized companies and entrepreneurs. individuals, through mechanisms of public guarantees in addition to their activities.

The FGC is subject to the supervision of the Head of Executive Power, exercised by the Head of the Ministerial Department responsible for Public Finances and has been developing social work, allowing the development of important sectors for the development of the national economy.
