Africa-Press – Angola. The consultant of the Ombudsman’s Office, Alexandre Domingos, this Friday, in Luanda, consulted with the population of the municipality of Belas, to find out about the main problems related to public administration.
Alexandre Domingos said that the meeting is part of the program to bring public services closer to the population, with the aim of exercising diplomacy with the institutions, in order to facilitate the resolution of problems.
On the occasion, the president of the Council of Residents of the Bita and Vila Flor neighborhoods, Ramiros de Almeida, praised the gesture, defending that it should be done periodically.
He mentioned that several rights were being violated in his district, with main emphasis on electricity, which has facilitated the increase in the level of criminality and public insecurity.
The coordinator of the neighborhood Cinco Fios, sector 6, District of Kenquela, stressed that he would like to see priority given to access to employment in local administrations for young residents.
In turn, the vice-president of the Council of Residents of the Terra Prometida neighborhood, Albano Augusto, pointed out that the main needs were the lack of drinking water and the lack of a police station.
The Ombudsman’s Office is an independent public entity whose objective is to defend the rights, freedom and guarantees of citizens, through informal means, justice and the legality of public administration activity.
The municipality of Belas has the districts of Kilamba (headquarters), Quenguela, Vila Verde, Cabolombo, Morro dos Veados, Ramiros and Barra do Cuanza commune.
