DRC diplomat highlights good trade relations with Angola

Africa-Press – Angola. The person in charge of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the DR Congo in Angola, Laula Kahamba Jean-Marie Vianney, told that commercial relations between the Republic of Angola and his country are currently good.

The diplomat from Democratic Congo made these statements during an interview that weekend, underlining that there are no complaints, either on the side of Angola or the DR Congo, as the two peoples share the same culture and the same way of trade along the common border.

Regarding the movement of people and goods, Laula Kahamba said that it is only necessary to improve the entry and exit and vice versa of people and goods on both sides.

For this reason, said the person in charge of Economic and Commercial Affairs, the DR Congo Ambassador in Angola, Kalala Mayiba, and his Angolan counterpart, Miguel Costa, are working to find ways and means to promote commercial activities in the region.

On the other hand, the DRC diplomat said that, during the Covid-19 pandemic, commercial activities at the Luvo border were paralyzed, a fact that hampered their normal functioning.

On the occasion, Laula Kahamba also praised the good organization that currently exists at the border, mainly on the DR Congo side, with the modernization of customs services, allowing the entry and exit of people and their goods, without constraints.

The charge for Economic Affairs of DR Congo finally launched an appeal to Angolan businessmen who wish to invest in their country, to consult their Embassy, ​​with a view to receiving official information for the purpose.
