Promoted by the Association of Judges of Angola (AJA) and the National Union of Magistrates of the Public Prosecution Service (SNMMP), the protest resulted from concern with the current state of justice.
In the understanding of the demonstrators, the sector lacks conditions in terms of the structures of the courts and the offices of the Public Prosecutor next to the police stations, furniture and technical and logistical means for the normal functioning of justice.
By the way, in a note, AJA and SNMMP also point out, as a concern, the lack of vehicles or adequate mechanisms that facilitate the locomotion of diligence officers to carry out their tasks, without recourse to their salaries. , and the non-updating of the organic and remuneration statutes of judicial magistrates and the remuneration statute of the Public Ministry.
They also refer that the SNMMP and the AJA follow, with concern, the constant and successive news circulated on social networks, allegedly related to the judiciary and the courts, in general, without any known position taken of the competent bodies, to ascertain the facts, in order to trigger the respective legally enshrined mechanisms.
The objectives of the SNMMP and the AJA are to fight for the dignity of the judiciary and the Public Ministry, for the improvement and democratization of the judiciary, as well as for the defense of the rights and interests of its members.
