Lussa is one of the figures who most fought for the affirmation of boxing in Huíla, having been one of the greatest exponents of the modality, while active, as he was part of the well-known unbeatable “Três Irmãos da Huíla”, with Estrela Kabango and Lito.
He started boxing at the age of ten, through the doors of Sporting do Lubango, from where he set out to conquer the country, with highlights for seven national titles and an African Zone VI event, in the 81 kg category. He headed the Boxing Association for three consecutive terms (12 years) and 17 years ago as director of Fabox, where he was a member.
Its history includes several national tournaments, with emphasis on events won at the Festas da Senhora do Monte, Populares do Sumbe and Waku Kungo. Many of the achievements are not registered, given the disappearance of the archives of the provincial association of individual sports.
