Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA militants in Huambo province are participating since Monday, in the municipality of Caála, in a training session on civic posture and party-political ideology, for improved and credible action in a democratic state based on the rule of law.

The training action, whose opening act was guided by the provincial secretary of UNITA in Huambo, Apolo Yacuvela, lasting 15 days, is part of the commemorative days of the 57th anniversary of the foundation of the “Galo Negro” party, to be marked on the next 13th.

According to the secretary for formation of the largest opposition party in this region of the country, Filipe Mwenho, who was speaking at the time, the event brings together participants from the 11 municipalities of Huambo.

He added that over the 15 days, knowledge on the civic stance of a militant and UNITA’s party ideology will be transmitted, with the aim of reinforcing the principles of national reconciliation, in search of a healthy social coexistence.

To this end, he said that topics related to Angola’s history, UNITA’s political trajectory, democratic principles, national reconciliation and civic education, based on electoral processes, will be addressed.
