Africa-Press – Angola. The 80th fuel filling station in the Pumangol network started operating, last Tuesday night, with a technology that reduces the time of electronic transactions to six seconds.

With 12 pumps that operate 24 hours a day, the post called “Elavoco”, a word in the national Umbundo language that means “Hope”, is located in Morro Bento, Talatona, in Luanda, and employs thirty employees, mostly young men and women. .

Present in the country’s 18 provinces, the company has so far created more than 380 direct jobs and is responsible for more than 2000 indirect ones. The new post in the city of Luanda had an investment of 3.7 million US dollars (approximately 1 billion and 924 million kwanzas).

Speaking to the press, the General Director of the company, Ivanilson Machado, claims to be the brand’s most modern gas station, due to the latest generation technological solutions that it presents, having stated that it comes to serve a very significant community, fulfill the company’s expansion plan in Angola and to develop the country economically.

To this end, he said, Pomangol invested in technological solutions at the level of state-of-the-art management solutions, more reliable, efficient, auditable and in real time, the TPAs ​​of the Nexgo brand of the G2 model, are also state-of-the-art technology and promise to save time in electronic transactions that last only six seconds.

He informed that the computerized pumps, equipped with new IGEM boards, launched in 2022 resulting in a high precision fueling experience, are powered by backup power (UPS) to provide an uninterrupted supply in case of power failure.

According to Ivanilsom Machado, despite the current circumstances, the difficult balance of the economic balance, caused by difficulties in product availability, the continuous subsidy of fuel prices, the delay in liberalizing prices and importing products, pumangol remains committed to develop its sustained growth strategy.

For the Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of Sonangol, Sebastião Pai Querido, the inauguration shows that the acquisition process did not lead to the company disappearing, but to continuing active for the benefit of the parties involved.

The official who claims that there is no shortage of fuel in any province of Angola, considers that the acquisition was a positive action and that the intention is to extend the requalification and modernization to other stations, even those of the Sonangol network.

The event was attended by the CEO of Pumangol, Ivanilson Machado, representatives of the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Petroleum, the Ministry of the Environment, the Regulatory Institute for Petroleum Derivatives, Sonangol, the provincial government, municipal authorities, banking, partners competition.
