Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Board of Directors of the National Assembly, Suzana de Melo, announced this Monday the construction, in 2024, of a building to house the services of the provincial office of this sovereign body in Lunda Norte.
Speaking to the press, at the end of a visit of a few hours to the province of Lunda Sul, to find out about the working conditions of the provincial office of the National Assembly, Suzana de Melo underlined that the project will be included in the General Budget of the State for 2023 and will be erected in the municipality of Chitato.
Without giving technical and budgetary details of the project, the official said that the life measure confers dignity and working conditions to deputies from the constituency of Lunda Norte, similar to some provinces.
“The current facilities are old and we don’t want to spend financial resources to patch them up, so we think it is necessary to build a new building, whose model will be the same as those we have been building in some provinces”, he stressed.
He added that if the construction of a building from scratch is completed, each deputy will have his own office and will better carry out his tasks.
From the accommodation point of view, he continued, an effort could be made in the sense that workers feel more motivated to carry out their functions on a day-to-day basis.
During their stay in Lunda Norte, the delegation of the Board of Directors of the National Assembly held a meeting with the local government, to find out about the socio-economic projects underway in the province, the problem and solutions in the short, medium and long term.
The delegation travels this afternoon to Lunda Sul province with the same objective.
