Africa-Press – Angola. A total of 1,531 teachers in the province of Luanda, even without teaching for more than two years, but who continue to receive salaries could be deactivated from the system, warned on Friday (11), in Luanda, the national director of Human Resources for the Ministry of Education.
Laudmira de Sousa, who was speaking at the headquarters of the Provincial Government of Luanda, during the presentation of the report on the visit by the Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, to schools in the capital last year, said that the Directorate of Human Resources had already opened a disciplinary process that can culminate in notices of abandonment, for exceeding the limit of complaints of about six months.
The national director said that, from the report of the Inspectorate of Education, it was concluded that there are many problems with the lack of punctuality and assiduity of teachers, school managers and administrative staff.
In clarifying the situation, the Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, said that the degradation of infrastructure, equipment and lack of human resources is not just a problem in Luanda, but in other provinces.
In terms of Luanda, the official said that the province has around 34,000 permanent teachers, and needs around 16,000 new agents. “We are working gradually to solve the problems of infrastructure, because many of the concerns have already been overcome, with emphasis on the rehabilitation of schools in the municipalities of Luanda, Viana, Cacuaco, among others.”
Illegal training in Health
Luísa Grilo asked municipal administrators to do more inspection work, taking into account the construction of schools in the health area, in a disorganized way and with courses not legalized in certain provinces of the country.
The minister warned that the problem of non-legalization of health courses in private educational institutions must be controlled, from the municipal administrations, before reaching the Ministry of tutelage.
“We are careful to license schools that, in fact, have the conditions to teach these courses, because health is a very delicate area, and we need to listen to the Ministry of Health, in relation to the courses that can be privileged”, said Luísa. Cricket.
The director of Luanda’s Provincial Education Office, Narciso Benedito, announced the existence of two competitions, one of which was for promotion, which had 17,778 vacancies, of which 771 passed to the 3rd phase.
The other contest is for admission, explained the provincial director, which has 250 places and the final results will be announced next Thursday.
Narciso Benedito also informed that the province of Luanda will benefit from more than nine million books of all classes, of which 1,222 different books of all levels of education were distributed.
