Africa-Press – Angola. The Ombudsman of Angola, Florbela Araújo, arrived this Sunday in the city of Brasília, as part of a three-day working visit, to exchange experiences with the Brazilian counterpart.

The delegation made up of senior officials from the Angolan Public Prosecutor’s Office intends to analyze the cooperation agreement to be signed between the two parties and apprehend good practices in Brazil in matters of procedural processing and handling of citizens’ complaints.

Still in Brasilia, the Ombudsman, according to a note from the Angolan Embassy, will meet with officials from the country’s diplomatic representation in Brazil, to discuss the role of the Ombudsman with the Angolan community .

The Ombudsman’s Office is an independent public body whose objective is to defend the rights, freedoms and guarantees of citizens, ensuring, through informal means, justice and the legality of public administration.

It exercises its functions on the basis of complaints submitted by citizens, individually or collectively.
