Africa-Press – Angola. Forty-five citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were repatriated Sunday by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) in Zaire province, for illegally entering and staying in the national territory.

In a note sent this Monday, in Mbanza Kongo, the SME informs that five are female repatriated by the river border of Kimbumba, municipality of Soyo.

They resided in some peripheral neighborhoods of the city of Soyo and were collected within the scope of control and inspection actions of foreign citizens in an irregular migratory situation.

The note also states that 42 were repatriated by administrative order and three citizens by court decision.

fuel seizure

Also on Sunday, 1,275 liters of fuel destined for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were seized by the Border Guard Police in the municipality of Soyo.

The seizure took place in one of the channels of the river Zaire, which delimits the municipality of Soyo with the Congo Central region (DRC).

On the occasion, two Angolan citizens were arrested accused of fuel smuggling.

Four municipalities in the province of Zaire border the DRC, namely Mbanza Kongo, Soyo, Cuimba and Nóqui, for a total of 310 kilometres.
