Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Bengo province, Antónia Nelumba, appealed, in Caxito, to young people to remain calm and serene in order to make the best use of the gains of peace.
Speaking to the press after laying the wreath at the Memorial to the Heroes of the Fatherland, on the occasion of the Day of Peace and National Reconciliation, the official highlighted some benefits gained in the 21 years of peace in the social and economic sectors.
As an example, he pointed to the construction and rehabilitation of various infrastructures such as health posts and medical centers in all municipalities in the region.
He referred to the construction and rehabilitation at this time of large health units that will soon be made available to the population.
Among these units are the Municipal Hospital of Pango-Aluquém, the new General Hospital of Bula Atumba and the new General Hospital of Bengo to be inaugurated later this year.
In the education sector, reference was made to the rehabilitation and construction of several schools, such as the first Middle Institute in the province, the Magistério Kimamuenho, the integrated road infrastructure in Caxito and the centralities in Capari and Bucula.
