Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, praised Thursday, Angola’s dedication to pacifying the countries of Central Africa and the Great Lakes, an important condition for the prosperity of its peoples.
President Muhammadu Buhari spoke during an audience granted to the Angolan ambassador to Nigeria, Eustáquio Januário Quibato, who is ending his eight-year mission in this African country.
“I have received positive references from Angola and its Statesman, in his effort to pacify Africa. A dedication that we greatly appreciate”, declared the President of Nigeria.
At the audience held in the presidential village of Aso Rock, the Nigerian statesman described the work carried out by the Angolan diplomat as being of excellence in favor of political and diplomatic concertation and in encouraging trade.
During the audience, attended by the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, the ambassador presented to President Buhari the balance of his mission in Nigeria in the bilateral and multilateral framework and praised the work of the Statesman in economic recovery and in the fight against terrorism.
President Muhammadu Buhari distinguished the Angolan ambassador, with a special coat of arms bearing his signature, in recognition of the excellence of work and bilateral relations.
The Angolan diplomat has already said goodbye to Presidents Mohamed Bazoum, from Niger, and Patrice Talon, from Benin.
