Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, arrived this Thursday, at around 5.30 pm, in London (United Kingdom), where he will witness the coronation ceremony of King Carlos III.
Upon his arrival, João Lourenço, who is accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, received greetings from representatives of the Angolan embassy in the United Kingdom.
At the ceremony, which takes place on Saturday (6th), at Westminster Abbey, in London, the Angolan Head of State will be a guest of the British Government.
With the coronation, the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth will formally have a new monarch, in a ceremony that will be attended by several national and foreign entities.
The coronation of Charles III and his wife Camilla as King and Queen consort of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms will be the symbolic highlight of their ascension.
The ceremony should be short but inclusive of religions and communities. It is the first coronation of a British monarch to take place in the 21st century and the 40th to take place at Westminster Abbey since 1066.
