Africa-Press – Angola. Twenty-five exhibitors, including inventors and creatives, will participate, this Saturday, in the 2nd edition of the Technological Innovation Fair, promoted by the Technological Center of Uíge (CFTU), in collaboration with the Association of Young Volunteers Entrepreneurs of Computer Engineering (AJVEEI ).
The 1st edition, held in 2022, had the participation of 16 exhibitors, from the provinces of Uíge and Luanda.
The event, which takes place under the motto “Uíge – more technologies, more development”, has 20 exhibitors from Uíge province and five from the Luanda Information Technology Institute (ITEL).
Speaking at the event, the director of the Technological Center of Uíge, Virgílio Cordeiro João, referred that the initiative aims to discover talent and promote interest in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the region.
In her speech, the deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic Sector in Uíge, Sónia Arlete, considered holding the fair a bet by Uíge province on the new era of ICTs.
For this reason, he appealed to the region’s citizens to invest in training courses given at the Technological Center of Uíge and, in the future, contribute to the development of the province.
Installed two years ago, the Uíge Technology Center has already trained 1,200 young people in computer courses, PABx-VoIP Telephone Exchanges, Cyber Ops Associate, Digital Marketing, Internet Social Network Management, electricity, renewable energies and other areas.
