In London, where he stayed since last Thursday (the 4th) as a guest of the British Government, João Lourenço participated, in addition to the coronation ceremony, in an official reception offered by the King.
With the coronation, the United Kingdom and the countries that make up the Commonwealth formally have a new monarch.
The ceremony took place at Westminster Abbey, in London, with the presence of hundreds of guests, including nationals and foreigners.
King Charles III succeeds Queen Elizabeth II on the throne, who died on September 8, 2022, at Balmoral Castle, United Kingdom, at the age of 96.
