UNITA bets on training to promote dialogue with the Executive

Africa-Press – Angola. This year, UNITA intends to continue to empower its militants with training actions in political leadership, with a view to contributing to a more dynamic and open dialogue with the Executive, in order to solve the problems of the communities.

Speaking at a press conference, in Lubango, to announce the visit of its president, Adalberto Costa Júnior, starting this Tuesday, to Huíla, the provincial secretary of that party, Augusto Samuel, considered the adoption of a more participative governance as essential and inclusive, which contributes to the promotion of a national culture of peace and economic and social stability.

UNITA, he argued, is a party that should be seen like others, by virtue of always accompanying the growth of the Democratic State and the rule of law, which reflect respect for life, for human beings and their dignity, an exercise that must be complemented with capacity building through instruments that do not violate the Constitution of the Republic of Angola (CRA).

Augusto Samuel referred that Angola suffered long years of war, violence and divisions before achieving national unity and stability, so there is no reason to return to armed conflict.

On the other hand, he dismissed the existence of cases of political intolerance in Huíla, the result of constant dialogue with the authorities. “The only difficulty UNITA has encountered has more to do with the lack of open infrastructure for carrying out its party-political activities in the municipalities of Gambos and Chibia”, he said.

Regarding Adalberto Costa Júnior’s agenda, he said that he will arrive on Tuesday afternoon, but will begin to fulfill the program the following day, when he will be received by Governor Nuno Mahapi and in the afternoon he will hold a meeting with civil society, as well as with his militants, and on Thursday he will travel to the municipality of Matala where he will carry out the identical activity.

The return to Luanda is scheduled for Friday, but before that he will make a stop in the municipality of Quilengues where he will meet with local authorities and civil society.
