Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, attended this Tuesday, in Menongue, Cuando Cubango province, tactical maneuvers by military brigades of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), as part of the annual training of troops.
For about two hours, the Head of State witnessed in the military polygon Soba Matias, in an area of ten thousand and 500 hectares, prepared for this purpose, an exercise that portrayed the fictitious scenario of war, but with real fire.

The exercise involved technical means of artillery, fighter-bombers, armored cars and reconnaissance planes from the three branches.
On site, after the end of the manoeuvre, the President of the Republic inspected the command post for the exercise, where the coordinates for its execution were given.
The maneuver is part of compliance with the directive of the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Angolan Armed Forces, João Lourenço.
The act was witnessed by the Minister of National Defense and Veterans of the Fatherland, João Ernesto dos Santos, general officers of the different defense and security bodies, members of the government, among other individuals.
Composed of three branches (Army, Air Force and Navy), the FAA structures date back to October 9, 1991, the date on which they were founded.
