Africa-Press – Angola. The deputy governor for the political, social and economic sector of Cuando Cubango, Helena Chimena, Tuesday, in the city of Menongue, challenged the business class to follow the government’s dynamics, in ways that contribute to the development of province.
Helena Chimena made this challenge in the act that marked the opening of the “AFS” mini market, in the Saúde neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city of Menongue, having assured that the government needs these private initiatives, for the promotion of youth employability and to bring the basic products close by closer to consumers.
The vice-governor recognized that gender initiatives contribute to the growth of the province’s economy, with taxation and the government is drawing up policies for the emergence of more investors in the commerce sector, mainly those who will sell the product from the countryside to the centers commercials.
He said that businessmen can consult the Integrated Development Office which offers a range of areas for investment and lines of credit, with subsidized interest, which can be applied to family production, cooperatives and the business sector in order to leverage the local economy.
In turn, the administrator of the company “AFS”, Adelina Sasselo, assured that the operation of the establishment in the Saúde neighborhood will be ensured by 15 employees.
He said that citizens have the opportunity to purchase basic food products at low prices, such as rice, pasta, sugar, milk, beans, among others.
The Commerce sector has licensed more than 500 commercial establishments in the nine municipalities of Cuando Cubango, with Menongue leading the list with more than 458 stores.
