Africa-Press – Angola. The Entrepreneur’s Single Branch network (BUAP), in Cuanza Norte province, is issuing, this Tuesday, the Citizen’s Youth Card, for children and teenagers, between 06 and 17 years old.
This is a new service available, which aims to issue citizen cards, to allow the location of minors and adolescents in this age group.
Previously, BUAP services were only available to adults.
In the province of Cuanza Norte, 31 polling stations are in operation, “all equipped with technological support to gradually meet the expected demand”, according to the head of the Department of Unofficial Electoral Registration and Administrative Organization in Cuanza Norte, Luís Martins.
For the issuance of the Municipal Youth Card, children and adolescents must be accompanied by their parents or a statement issued by them, in cases where the children are in the responsibility of another person.
The service is available in a first phase in the municipalities of Cambambe, Cazengo, Golungo-Alto and Banga, the other municipalities will have the same services in the coming months.
The official indicated that it is a quick process, which will be extended to the entire province, in a short time, taking into account the need for better implementation of social services provided to the population and better control of the mobility of minors.
He maintained that the citizen’s card is a very valuable identification instrument, which, when assigned, similarly to the Identity Card, simplifies the need for various documents in different institutions.
