Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan academic and writer Henriques Lopes Guerra died this Tuesday in Lisbon (Portugal), victim of a prolonged illness.
According to a condolence note, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Filipe Zau, addresses feelings of regret to the bereaved family for the passing of the writer Henriques Lopes Guerra.
“To the bereaved family of the nationalist, academic and writer Henriques Guerra, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Filipe Silvino de Pina Zau, addresses the feelings of condolence, in his personal name, of those responsible and employees of the ministerial department he directs”, reads if in the document.
Henriques Lopes Guerra, born in 1937, was a member of the Union of Angolan Writers (UEA), and his works include “A Cubata Solitário”, “When poetry happens to me”, “Some Poems” and “Círculo de Chalk de Bombô (The )”.
