Africa-Press – Angola. A delegation from the National Assembly, headed by deputy Pedro Sebastião, is participating, in South Africa, until the 13th of this month in the meetings of the standing committees of the Parliamentary Forum of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
According to a press release from the National Assembly, the statutory meeting of the permanent commissions of the SADC parliamentary forum (FP-SADC) has been taking place since the 8th of this month, in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa.
At the meeting, which aims to prepare the 5th Plenary Assembly of the FP-SADC, taking place in the city of Arusha, Tanzania, from the 2nd to the 8th of July of this year, the Angolan delegation includes the deputies Diamantino Mussokola, Teresa da Silva Neto, Ruth Mendes and Rafael Savimbi.
The meeting takes place under the motto “the role of parliaments in legislation on strategic and sensitive assets”.
The National Assembly is a founding member of FP-SADC, an organization that brings together 15 parliaments from SADC member states.
