Africa-Press – Angola. A medium-sized center to promote aquaculture will be built in Cabinda, within the scope of projects that the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources will implement during the 2023/2027 period.

For the minister, Carmen do Sacramento, who was speaking at the end of her visit to Cabinda, Wednesday, underlined that, with the implementation of the project, the province will be well served and will encourage various actors who need to carry out this activity for a greater expansion of aquaculture in the province.

According to the minister, the aquaculture center will have a feed center to feed the fish.

He referred that there are good perspectives from the Executive so that the people of Cabinda can believe that the fishing sector is one of the levers of the national economy and of the province, in particular.

For the head of the Fisheries department in Cabinda, Rafael Brás, the minister’s visit to Cabinda can boost paralyzed projects, taking into account the local commitment to aquaculture activity, which includes several essential stages for its dynamisation.

The future Cabinda Aquaculture Center will have a feed factory, an area for the production of fingerlings, tilapia and catfish and also the construction of tanks for fattening, which will have a complete cycle of training, food and fish manufacturing , until commercialization.
