Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, urged, this Friday, in Luanda, the institutions to comply with the Executive’s institutional communication strategy.

The position was presented during the opening of the Executive’s Extended Methodological Meeting of Institutional Communication, having referred that it is still important that the institutions ensure the implementation of communication actions and acts, acting in a planned, articulated and harmonized way.

He also recalled that the actions should be directed not only to citizens inside and outside the country, but also, in a specific and regular way, to the employees of the institutions themselves.

According to Mário de Oliveira, sharing the proposal for the Executive’s institutional communication strategy for the period 2023/2027, aims to meet the needs, expectations and interests of institutional communication.

“We intend to formulate strategies, communication policies, methodologies and other tools, to be implemented by all the institutions that make up the ecosystem of institutional communication”, he said.

In this context, he underlined that the need to communicate more and better has led governments to invest in institutional communication strategies, with a view to achieving a positive positioning, perception and reputation with the different publics, capable of generating trust and facilitating the realization of public policy.

Therefore, continued the minister, the institutional communication strategy was designed to be operationalized in a harmonious way, with the participation of the most varied public institutions, such as ministerial departments, provincial governments, diplomatic missions, strategic public institutions and others.

In view of the development and global acceleration of the Information and Communication Technologies market, Mário de Oliveira considered the commitment to the specialized training of man to be a challenge, taking into account the enormous threats.

Representatives of the media, the institutional communication office of the provincial governments, ministerial departments and diplomatic missions will participate in the Enlarged Methodological Meeting of the Executive’s Institutional Communication.

“The Executive’s Institutional Communication Strategy 2023-2027”, “Organization, Flowchart and Operation of the Institutional Communication Ecosystem”, “Government Logo and National Symbols”, “Institutional Publicity”, “Press Relations Techniques and Relationship with Medias”, complete the event program.

The program also includes the analysis of the themes, “Cybersecurity”, “Digital Media and Social Networks”, “Fake News vs Disinformation: Combat and mitigation measures”, “crisis communication”, among others.
