Africa-Press – Angola. Greater investment and training for young people, in matters related to space, was defended by specialists at the 3rd edition of ANGOTIC 2023 – International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies in Angola.
The approach was made during the panel on “Space Industry and Trends”, at the opening of the second day of the event, which runs from 12 to 14 June, at the Talatona Convention Centre, in Luanda.
For the speaker of The Brichtest Star Foundation, Camille Aleyne, she understands that it is necessary to “look” at education, based on continuous sustainable development.
He made it known that African countries must continuously invest in science, technology and innovation, as well as in the education system.
For the African Union consultant, Tidiane Ouattara, greater opportunity should be given to young people, with training, with the aim of helping to create more companies in the near future.
Tidiane Ouattara highlights the investments made by the Government, which places the forum such as ANGOTIC at the center.
“Angola is already contributing to the projects of the national space program. I hope you continue to foster that and when the agency comes along, you can play a pivotal role,” she said.
In his opinion, one should not only focus on education, but “on the development of human capital”.
The head of the ISS Rechetenev, Yuri Vilkov, stresses that Angola’s experience “will be very important for neighboring countries”.
The general director of the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN), Zolana João, considers that education is the key to the development of the African space industry, highlighting the investments made by the Angolan Government for the development of the sector.
The 3rd edition of ANGOTIC 2023 – International Forum of Information and Communication Technologies of Angola, with the motto “Connectivity and Technological Modernization”, takes place from 12 to 14 June, at the Talatona Convention Center, in Luanda.
ANGOTIC 2023 is a global event on information and communication technologies, held and promoted by the Government of Angola, through the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication.
The event aims to promote debate around current, global and future issues of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), sharing knowledge and facilitating networking for government entities, exhibitors, specialists, presenting innovations, as well as trends in the sector.
The largest International Forum on Technologies in Angola “ANGOTIC 2023” returns after two years of stoppage, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
