Africa-Press – Angola. The first edition of Expo Car, which started Wednesday, will stimulate the national car market, and add value to the existing demand, according to the chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Land Transport Agency, Énio Costa .
To this end, more than 80 exhibitors from different segments of the Angolan car market will gather in Luanda Bay, where, until next Sunday, the Luanda Expo Car will take place, an automotive show whose organization absorbs 400 million kwanzas.
Expo Car, organized by the companies Innvite, in partnership with EDK Motors and Innova, takes place under the motto “Conduza o Futuro, Angola”.
The official, who was speaking to the press, explained that the event will promote the growth of the car trade in Angola, stimulate local production and the development of new commercial partnerships, as well as bring together the main companies in the sector to expose innovations and new solutions.
On the occasion, the deputy governor of Luanda, explained that Expo Car should encourage businessmen to invest in investments related to the production of spare parts, which in many cases are only found outside the country.
He challenged businessmen to invest in the same way in the production and assembly of cars, but always striving for a production focused on environmental care, in order to safeguard the quality of life and, at the same time, boost the economy of the automotive industry.

According to the organization of the fair, it was created to be the largest motor show in the country, leading to the decision to bring together, in addition to the vehicle show, the exhibition of all services related to the motor sector, such as official dealerships, rent-a-car, banking and insurance, workshops, technological solutions for the sector, equipment suppliers, service providers, suppliers of parts and accessories, as well as taxi operators.
In this first edition of expo Car, Angola is represented by the only brand partially produced in the country, Pegado Motors, which also appears to boost the local car industry. The launch of models from this assembly line represents a milestone for the Angolan automotive industry and for the brand itself, which is making its debut in the pick-up and SUV segments, announced the fairs manager.
Luanda Expo Car is a business platform for official representatives, importers and car dealers to present the latest innovations in the sector, with 12,000 people expected to visit the exhibition grounds, set over a gross area of 29,500 square meters .
The event also features the presentation of a new model by Daimic Motors, which will present vehicles from the brands Lunis, Jetour and DaiShing.
Exhibitors and visitors will have the opportunity to participate in auctions, but will also be able to directly sell vehicles, services and parts,
In this first edition, the organization of the next event is announced, where trade associations and factories from abroad are expected to participate, namely from Argentina, South Africa, Namibia, Germany, Japan and China.
