Africa-Press – Angola. The 3rd edition ANGOTIC 2023 – International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies of Angola, opened on Monday (12) and closed Wednesday, at the Talatona Convention Center, exceeded the expectations of exhibitors.
The expression of satisfaction with the results achieved was visible during the closing ceremony of the event, which brought together lectures, exhibitions of technological products and services from large companies and emerging players.
For SISTEC, an Angolan company that operates in the technology, telecommunications and home products segments, ANGOTIC 2023 was positive, in terms of visits and products exhibited.
The representative of the Telecommunications Department, Adão António, indicated that SISTEC was much sought after during the three days, and one of the realities is the reception of a public that is more knowledgeable about what it is looking for.
The official also mentioned that the moment served to strengthen partnerships with national and foreign companies, as well as some emerging players within the national territory.
According to the Angola Cables product manager, Crisóstomo Mbundu, the company managed to establish partnerships to accelerate the digital system and consequently the startups.
The official said that the two-year stoppage of ANGOTIC 2023 – International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies of Angola, served to expose the ideas that matured during the Covid-19 period in this 3rd edition.
“We show here the ability of young people to solve problems, showing their innovations”, he said.
According to the solutions manager of the Chinese telecommunications company ZET, Manuel Afonso, his stand sought to bring solutions in terms of communication devices, with reference to mobile phones and tablets that allow access to games and images in 3D format.
Manuel Afonso was satisfied with the ANGOTIC showcase for the evolution of the Angolan technological market, where high-level companies and emerging ones seek to expose their evolutions.
As for the head of the commercial area of the startup “aki”, a service payment application, Leopoldo Calenga, the 3rd edition of ANGOTIC 2023 – International Forum of Information and Communication Technologies in Angola was positive, due to the fact that it brought together a vast number of startups , with innovations and ideas to share.
For the youngster, this edition made it possible to expose the capacity of the Angolan youth in terms of technological innovations, and also served as a showcase for new contacts and the signing of agreements with some companies.
Exhibitor Júlia Bragança referred that the startup “Fala da Mente”, made up of psychologists, sociologists, therapists and psychotherapists, sees the International Forum of Information and Communication Technologies in Angola as an opportunity to expand technological projects, aiming to facilitate even more citizens in their interaction with health professionals.
In turn, the manager of the startup Sumba Intermed, Anilson André, suggested the creation of other opportunities that could help in the implementation of technological projects.
For entrepreneur Justino Ageni, the 3rd edition of ANGOTIC 2023 was an opportunity to show the competence, not only of young people, but also the talent of children in the field of innovation.
The event, which took place under the motto “Connectivity and Technological Modernization”, the ANGOTIC 2023-International Forum on Technologies of Angola, took place after two years of stoppage, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Participating in this 3rd edition of ANGOTIC, whose motto is “Connectivity and Technological Modernization”, speakers and moderators from Japan, United Kingdom, Brazil, Nigeria, Lesotho, South Africa, United States of America, Canada, Spain, Serbia, Uganda, France, Namibia, Portugal, Zambia, Cote D’Ivoire, Sweden, Argentina, Ethiopia, Malawi and São Tomé.
ANGOTIC 2023 is promoted by the Government of Angola, through the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication.
