Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, delivered the first prize wednesday to Startap OSAPICARE, winner of the 1st edition of HOCKTHON ANGOTIC 2023.
HOCKTHON is a marathon of innovations that consists of passing, defining and developing a project with the help of facilitators who provide support in all stages of the process, inserted in the ANGOTIC 2023 program, which ended wednesday.
The winner is a start-up dedicated to the rapid presentation of diagnoses of various tropical diseases, made up of a group of six young university students, mostly from the field of engineering, who participated in the marathon of technological innovations for three days.
The director general of the company BUKA, Carlos Jaime, promoter of the event, informed that thirty participants were selected and it is expected to continue in the next technological events.
The second prize, presented by the Minister of Telecommunications for Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Augusto, went to SERVIÇAL, which presented an application aimed at helping internet users in the program for employability.
The Minister for the Economy, Mário Caetano João, presented the third prize to the company AgroEIA dedicated to agribusiness.
The general director of Ekwanza, Nuno Viegas, the programme’s financier, said that the participants to the forum thought about real problems, focused on medical diagnoses, agribusiness, on shortening needs and times, having appealed to the economic managers present to finance the projects.
The 3rd edition of ANGOTIC 2023 – International Forum of Information and Communication Technologies of Angola, with the motto “Connectivity and Technological Modernization”, takes place from 12 to 14 June, at the Talatona Convention Center, in Luanda.
ANGOTIC 2023 is a global event on information and communication technologies, held and promoted by the Government of Angola, through the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication.
The event aims to promote debate around current, global and future issues of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), sharing knowledge and facilitating networking for government entities, exhibitors, specialists, presenting innovations, as well as trends in the sector.
The largest International Forum on Technologies in Angola “ANGOTIC 2023” returns after two years of stoppage, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
