Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial governor of Moxico, Ernesto Muangala, recommended, this Thursday, in Luena, the revitalization of the OPA (Organization of the Angolan Pioneer) in the region, considering it an important school in the integral and solid formation of society.

The minister made this recommendation during a fact-finding visit to the organisation’s headquarters, as part of the commemorations of the Day of the African Child to be celebrated this Friday, 16th of June.

On the occasion, he highlighted the organization’s role in transmitting moral values, love of country and patriotism.

Ernesto Muangala acknowledged OPA’s current difficulties in the region, from the lack of transport, uniform, lunch, factors that have prevented the normal carrying out of activities.

In this sense, he argued that it was urgent to reactivate this organization that brings together children from all social segments.

On the occasion, the executive secretary of OPA in Moxico, Juvenal Martins, said that the organization controls 38,000, 753 children, having requested government support for the promotion of activities.

OPA is a voluntary, non-partisan and non-governmental social organization, made up of Angolan and foreign citizens, interested in contributing to the harmonious development of the Angolan child.
